Aqua East Surf Shop was opened in 1973 by surfer and skater Sandy Forsyth, who was passionate about the sport at the time. Sandy started surfing in the summer of 8th grade in 1967 on a 9'6" Velzy that he bought from a department store.
What began as a small shop about the size of a bedroom has grown into a well-established destination for surf and skate enthusiasts in Northeast Florida. Our commitment to quality products, expert knowledge, and exceptional customer service has kept us at the heart of the local surf community for over 50 years.
